Throw #12’s cousin, this “selfish throw” slightly differs from it with its color sequence and its fringes finishing. It was woven from Shetland wool, bred and spun on the Shetland Islands in the North Sea. The colors are those of the sheep’s natural fleeces. This wool is the result of a collaboration between spinners and curators of The Shetland Museum and Archives to recreate the original caracteristic of the handspun yarn produced on the islands in the 19th century. This smooth and fluffy wool conceals in its heart a very particular, almost joyful energy, which makes it a truly exceptional fiber.
